Death Note: The Beautiful People Shoot

Kira x BB is a pairing we've been meaning to hit up for *eons.* The last time we intended to shoot them, it turned into a Light x L shoot--not this time.

Now for the disclaimers...

Disclaimer #1 - the pairing:

Kira x BB is a pair explored in our fic 2B or Not 2B and we don't see Kira cowering in fear of Beyond as seems to be a popular notion with fandom. Bah fandom. Quite the contrary, our handling of the pair has them in some ways kindred spirits, in other ways clever adversaries--simultaneously for and against L in different forms, but never moved by the common black and white concepts of mundane jealousy. In 2B Kira and BB are, in short, extremely complex, each using the other in their own elaborate plans to keep L forever engaged. There's no love, merely mutual darkness, morbid sexuality and extraordinary brilliance in a constant duel. Kira's idealism, versus B's grotesque cynicism. They're a bloody blast to work with.

Disclaimer #2 - Nurse B.

Nurse B refers to a scene in our fic 2B or Not 2B where B appears to a character in a Nurse's uniform (after having killed the nurse of course.) Yes. It is a homage to Nurse Joker, we make no illusions about it, it was done very deliberately. The way we see it, B and TDK Joker share a similar sociopathic mindset. I've been wanting to shoot Nurse B for months, planned to do it for Halloween, but Joker himself took over that plan instead LOL. The way Nurse B translated over into the shoot is a tad different from the fic--but that's because we had Marilyn Manson on a permanent loop in the background and B decided to put on lingerie and bondage tape under his uniform.
